The Project Engineer works on-site within the Project Management Team and is responsible for contract setup, submittals, assisting with the bid package process, change orders, and assisting with the scheduling of the project. The Project Management Team can vary greatly depending on the size and complexity of the projects, which in turn will affect the number of responsibilities the Project Engineer will be involved in. The Project Engineer must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.

Responsibilities
  • Support contract setup, submittals, bid package processes, change orders, and project scheduling on-site within the Project Management Team.
  • Collaborate with project teams; adjust responsibilities based on project size and complexity.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, strong communication, and client service skills.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience creating documentation such as RFIs and client correspondence related to notification provisions in contracts.
  • 1-3 years of experience reading and understanding construction plans and drawings, and the associated technical specifications; outline specifications required for submission to clients and ensure submittals and shop drawings are approved.
  • 1-3 years of experience with project close-out.
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management, Engineering, or similar, or 8 years of equivalent experience.
