Locations include Atlanta, GA; Auburn Hills, MI; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; Miami, FL; Pensacola, FL; Remote - US. Remote work is available and candidates must live in the EST time zone.

What You Will Do
  • Understand and manage control databases, user interfaces and setup of control systems based on project specifications and/or sales proposals.
  • Perform field startup and system commissioning tasks; provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers.
  • Create programming logic using flow diagrams, sequences of operation, panel layouts, termination details and project specifications or sales proposals under supervision of a Senior or Lead Application Engineer.
  • Program control applications using various software tools to support operator workstations, DDC field panels and third-party integration devices connected through multiple communications protocols.
  • Install control programs on-site and remotely.
  • Conduct job site system checkout, commissioning and testing of control applications to verify proper operation according to project specs, sales proposal and design documentation.
  • Develop system user interfaces according to project specifications or sales proposal.
  • Deliver on-site and remote end-user training for the installed system.
  • Perform basic system analysis and diagnostics and determine corrective actions to restore systems to proper operating condition.
  • Complete projects assigned by a Senior or Lead Application Engineer and submit weekly timesheets with hours broken down by project by the published deadlines.
What You Will Need
  • Education: REQUIRED – Bachelor’s Degree in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical or Software Engineering; or minimum two years’ experience in Building Automation Controls, Building Automation Sales, and/or Account Management, Project Management. Niagara N4 certification preferred but not required.
  • Work Experience: PREFERRED – Minimum two years’ experience in Building Automation Controls, Building Automation Sales, and/or Account/Project Management.
  • Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of control and HVAC systems and their terminology.
    • Thorough knowledge of Windows-based computers and desktop applications (MS Word, MS Excel).
    • Knowledge of Google Drive and related applications is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Professional attitude; ability to maintain a clean and neat appearance.
    • Accuracy and attention to detail.
Additional Requirements

  • Physical/Mental: Ability to perform facility tasks (standing, sitting, climbing, etc.), travel up to 50% annually; ability to perform arithmetic related to HVAC applications; English proficiency for technical and managerial communications.
  • Working Conditions: Primarily climate-controlled environment with possible job site hazards; flexible work hours including second/third shift and weekends as needed by project requirements.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: minimum $80,000 to maximum $90,000 annually, depending on skills, qualifications and experience. Eligible for discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s benefit program.
