Overview

The Muñoz RG conducts both fundamental and application-oriented research on materials and devices for energy storage and conversion.We are looking for a qualified Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team and work under the project HEADsupercap

Job Duties

The job duties will be the following:

  • Synthesis of electrode materials and electrode fabrication to reach goals set in EU project HEDAsupercap;
  • Collaborate with team members and other academic and industry partners within the consortium on joint R&D;
  • Report to supervisor and project leader(s) on R&D progress;
  • Publish project results and communicate the results in project/professional meetings;
  • Engage in other project dissemination activities;
  • Responsible for laboratory order.

MandatoryQualifications

Education

  • PhD in Electrochemistry, Materials Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, Nanotechnology, or other related field.

Experience and Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience in batteries and supercapacitors;
  • Knowledge of electrochemical performance assessment;
  • Knowledge on synthetic chemistry for the development of scalable electrode materials;
  • Good practices for laboratory work.

Other Valued Skills

  • Perform research activities according to research plan;
  • Understanding of DFT and molecular dynamics fundamentals;
  • Supervision of master students;
  • Waste management.
