The DevSecOps Engineer will integrate security practices across the entire software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and ongoing monitoring. Bridging the gap between development, security, and operations, they will embed security into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring fast, reliable, and secure software delivery. This role combines security expertise, software development, and operations knowledge to enhance the security of applications and infrastructure in a cloud-native environment.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to create and maintain secure applications and infrastructure;
• Implement and maintain automated security tests within the CI/CD pipeline;
• Deploy and manage security tools (e.g., SAST, DAST) for continuous security testing;
• Ensure compliance with security standards (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, PCI-DSS) and maintain ongoing security monitoring;
• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and architecture reviews for secure system design;
• Proactively identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities throughout the software lifecycle;
• Lead incident response activities and provide training on secure coding practices and DevOps security.

What you'll need

• Technical education in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field;
• 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, with a strong focus on cloud security (Azure is mandatory);
• Expertise in securing CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI;
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and security automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation;
• Hands-on experience securing containers in Docker and Kubernetes;
• Strong coding/scripting skills in Python, Bash, Go, Ruby, or .NET;
• Ability to work with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, focusing on goal-oriented results and customer-centric solutions.
