A charitable organization in the United Kingdom is seeking trustees with experience in HR and legal matters to enhance its board. The role will involve helping to formalize HR processes and assist in the recruitment and management of new senior staff. Ideal candidates will have a background in employing and managing staff, with experience in interviewing, onboarding, and contract preparations. This is a hands-on position transitioning to an oversight role as the charity stabilizes its operations.
We are looking for trustees with specific skills to strengthen our board. We are particularly keen to recruit trustees to help with HR and to assist with legal matters such as staff contracts. We currently need trustees who have time and energy to commit to the role on a weekly basis.
As a trustee with specific skills in HR or legal matters you will help the charity formalise the way we employ staff.
The original team were all part of the charity from the beginning and a lot was done on a basis of goodwill and "whatever needs doing!"
As we employ new staff we recognise the need to formalise our HR processes and have robust policies in place.
Vision of Adventure is facing a challenging new phase in its development as we move from reliance on the founders and the original staff team.
As we look to employ a new senior staff team to work for the charity we need trustees who can assist "hands on" in recruiting, managing and guiding that team as they take over the day to day running of the charity's activities.
Once everything is on an even keel commitment will become more of an overseeing role.
