Supporting Education Group – IT Business Partner

SEG is seeking an experienced IT Business Partner to act as a strategic liaison between Technology and business units, ensuring IT services and solutions deliver measurable value and align with organisational objectives. The role focuses on driving technology adoption, optimising business processes, and supporting the delivery of IT initiatives that enable SEG’s operational and growth goals. This is a strategic and hands‑on role that spans multiple business and IT projects, ensuring technology investments are aligned with business priorities and deliver tangible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders to understand objectives and translate them into IT strategies and roadmaps.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for technology‑related needs within assigned business areas.
  • Capture, assess, and prioritise business requirements for IT services and projects.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors to ensure solutions are technically feasible, secure, and aligned with group standards.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Monitor IT performance and report on value delivery to stakeholders.
  • Support governance, compliance, and risk management processes across IT programmes.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to align technology solutions with business needs.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in IT strategy, business engagement, and technology delivery.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical and functional specifications.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Experience working across multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and project methodologies.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or BCS Practitioner Certificate in IT Business Partnering.
