Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy seeks a Senior Traffic Engineer to join their Yorkshire & Humber team. Qualifications

  • UK experience working within a Local Authority traffic engineering environment, or consultancy supporting Local Authorities.
  • Confident in detailed design and implementation of traffic schemes including reviewing drawings.
  • Competent in the use of TSRGD, Traffic Signs Manual, LTN 1/20 and other relevant standards and guidance documents.
  • Experience in contractor liaison, including clarifications and site queries.
  • Experience managing public consultations and stakeholders.
  • Ability to prepare technical reports.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, manage multiple schemes and work with minimal supervision.
  • CAD capability beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience guiding junior colleagues or providing informal support to others.
  • Organisation and monitoring of costs in relation to Traffic Regulation Orders and Traffic schemes.
