Overview

Locum Job Opportunity: Advanced Social Worker – Assessment & Intervention Team in Exeter (UK). Earn up to £42 per hour on a locum basis over a period of 3 months. This full-time position offers a chance to work as an integral part of the Assessment & Intervention Team in Exeter & East Devon. You will leverage advanced social work skills to support children’s lives and families with complex needs, with a smaller caseload to enable in-depth assessments, professional leadership, and mentoring.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out detailed assessments for children and families with a complexity of needs.
  • Provide professional leadership and supervision to colleagues in your team, supporting the Team Manager.
  • Assist in managing day-to-day team operations and strive to create an efficient service for the A&I team.
  • Share expertise through supervision, mentoring, and offering on-the-job training and coaching.
  • Maintain high standards of professional social work practice, encouraging learning and reflection among team members.
  • Champion evidence-based practice and lead in challenging and improving the quality of social care.
