A local veterinary practice in Guildford is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse for a maternity cover position. This role requires a passion for animal care and teamwork, with responsibilities including providing nursing care and performing veterinary procedures. Salary: Starting from £28,000/annum, depending on experience

We are a RCVS accredited Primary Care Practice based in Guilford. We deliver the highest standard of veterinary care for small animals in a friendly and professional environment. Our facilities and caring team are continuously updated to ensure the best care for pets.

We offer orthopaedic surgeries and have vets with a strong interest in exotic patients. This includes a radiography suite and an exotic ward built into the new hospital.
We are looking for maternity cover for a nurse’s first baby. Ideally, the role is full-time with a 1:5 weekend rota (Saturdays only, following Monday off). Shift patterns range from 8am‑5pm or 10:30am‑7:30pm, with flexibility for longer shifts over four days. We are a passionate, close-knit team keen to learn new skills and provide the best care for patients. Our nurses perform schedule 3 procedures, nurse consults daily, and are encouraged to undertake projects and new skills.
Developing and empowering our nurses is important to us. You will gain over 150 hours of pre-recorded CPD delivered by expert clinicians and nurses, a robust induction, and modular courses including our AVA-accredited anaesthesia and analgesia module.
