About the Role

Peacock Surgery has a fantastic opportunity for a practice nurse to join our team on a part‑time basis for approximately 30 hours per week. Our surgery works over 2 sites, Stansted and Elsenham but this role will predominantly be based at our Elsenham branch.

Our nursing team consists of 4 practice nurses, 2 nursing associates, 2 healthcare assistants and 3 phlebotomists.

The main responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):

  • Chronic disease management
  • Childhood and adult immunisations
  • Cervical cytology
  • Wound care (e.g. leg ulcers and compression)
  • Health promotion and patient education
  • Treatment room duties
  • Support with QOF and clinical audits
About the Candidate

All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience:

  • A qualified and registered Nurse (NMC Registered)
  • Experience in primary care
  • Confident working autonomously while contributing to a wider team
  • Organised, approachable and patient‑focused
  • Committed to maintaining high clinical standards and professional development
