A local government authority in Cardiff is seeking a motivated Pool Operative Driver to support cleansing operations across the city. This role involves street cleaning, operating vehicles, and ensuring high standards in service delivery. Candidates should possess a full valid C1 driving license and have experience in manual handling and customer service. Flexibility is required for shifts, including weekends and holidays. Cardiff is a vibrant and growing city, and we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join the Neighbourhood Services Team as a Pool Operative Driver. Our team is committed to delivering excellent service to Cardiff’s residents and visitors, ensuring high standards in street cleansing, waste management, and operational support.
As a Pool Operative Driver, you will support the delivery of cleansing operations and associated tasks throughout the city. Tasks also involve street cleaning activities such as collecting litter, handling split bags, removing dog faeces and deposited items from, removing leaf fall, and sweeping
Your duties will include carrying out manual handling operations, following health and safety guidance, and providing excellent customer service. You will be responsible for operating vehicles, responding to service requests and complaints.
The position involves maintaining records, using technology such as tablets or smart phone devices for daily task assignments, and documenting all completed work.
The role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and requires flexibility to meet changing service needs and priorities.
