Job description

We are recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work in London. The role works Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Our Maintenance Engineers are key to our business and our client relationships. In this role you need to not only be able to deliver the best service in undertaking Mechanical maintenance and repair, including building fabric tasks, but also go above and beyond to ensure our client experiences an excellent working relationship with Platinum Facilities.

The Key Duties of this role are:

1. Carry out planned preventative maintenance and complete relevant documentation.
2. Carry out all reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and complete relevant documentation.
3. Supervision of visiting sub-contractors.
4. Be on a call out rota to provide the client with full out of hours cover.
5. Proactively reduce energy consumption on site.
6. Adhere to all Health and Safety policies.

Qualifications and experience required:

1. Qualified to City & Guilds Level II or equivalent in Mechanical discipline (essential).
2. Unvented hot water systems (essential).
3. Completed City & Guilds BS 2391 Level 3 Electrical Inspection & Testing (desirable).
4. Good knowledge and experience of plumbing, sanitary ware, drainage systems, LPHW, pressurisation & ventilation systems, ACOPS L8 and cooling tower systems.
5. Experience of maintenance, testing and fault finding on a variety of equipment, including boiler plant, ventilation, pumps and generators.
