A cultural organization is offering a six-month paid placement for a creative individual to support a digital heritage initiative. The role includes content creation, marketing planning, and coordination with museums. Ideal candidates should be organized, detail-oriented, and eager to engage with the creative and heritage sectors. A stipend of £100/day will be provided for one day of work per week.

This placement is a six month opportunity hosted by Creative Island , the Island’s Cultural Development Agency. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and creative individual to join the Creative Island team, supporting the delivery of their exciting digital heritage initiative Curators’ Choice.
Curators’ Choice is a digital storytelling project that aims to shine a light on the Isle of Wight’s heritage by showcasing fascinating artefacts from local museums. Working closely with their Communications Manager Sam, you’ll help bring the Isle of Wight’s rich cultural history to life by supporting marketing and content delivery across digital platforms.

Practical info: This placement is open to those aged 18-25 for the duration of the placement. It is one day per week (most likely on Thursdays) for 6 months, and you will be paid a stipend of £100/day. This placement is based at Building 41, Cowes, with the exception of visiting Island museums to film content. Opportunity Date & Time: This placement starts at the beginning of September, and finishes in February. The day of the week and exact time will be confirmed with you if you are selected for this role, however it will most likely be a Thursday.
