A prestigious development agency in Gravesend is seeking an experienced software developer to join its expanding team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in developing enterprise solutions and possess a degree in IT or a related discipline. This role involves using the Uniface platform and SQL server to support the modernization of critical systems. The role:
The Port of London Authority is expanding its software development team to support the modernisation of critical systems that support the operations of the PLA and keep traffic moving on the River Thames.
We are looking for an experienced software developer to join the team and help us improve and adapt our internal systems, expanding functionality and ensuring their longevity.
You will be working in a small team with direct contact with stakeholders and users. One of the key operational systems the team is responsible for is the in-house Port Management system. This software is written in the lo-code framework, Uniface. Prior Uniface experience is desirable but not required as training will be provided for a candidate with the right skillset, attitude and willingness to learn.
You will have a proven track-record in developing and delivering high quality enterprise business solutions using industry standard tools. You must be familiar with client/server and web technologies as well as being experienced in database administration. You will have a keen eye for detail, an enquiring mind and good inter-personal skills.
