Job description
Head Registered Veterinary Nurse - Small Animal

Are you a registered veterinary nurse looking to take the next step in your career and feel ready for a leadership position? If the answer is yes then have you considered working with us at Vine Tree.

Vine Tree is currently looking for a new Head Nurse, to help guide and grow a caring and dedicated team of veterinary nurses, in a progressive and supportive environment.

The Head Nurse role is a hands on leadership position, providing you with the chance to make a real difference. You will be working to support the practice develop and providing mentorship to a team of 2 Veterinary nurses, with great opportunity to pursue you own areas of clinical interest.

The position is for 40 hours a week across 4 or 5 days, with a 1:4 Saturday Rota, although part time candidates will also be considered. We don't operate out of hours or on call, allowing for you to maintain your work life balance.

Vine Tree opened its doors in the Wye Valley in 2015 as an independent, family-run practice in a newly refurbished pub. Our collaboration with IVC in 2017 has seen our business and team grow exponentially. While having all the mod cons you would expect in a modern small animal practice (including digital and dental x-ray, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, ultrasound and an in-house laboratory). Our fantastic nurses play a large role in the practice and provide consults for our longstanding clients, you can guarantee you will be valued at Vine Tree Vets.

Vine Tree is so much more than its equipment and the building we operate in. Every practice thinks they have a great team (and no doubt they do!) but our team is truly something special; comprised of 2 vets, 2 registered nurses, 3 client care assistants and our lovely practice director.
