Qualifications

Job description

A Geophysicist (Supervisor) is a burgeoning technical leader in the Company. They are responsible for supervising day-to-day activities on geophysical projects, including both fieldwork and reporting elements. They are responsible for leading the planning on survey strategies during fieldwork, including large, complex, and non-standard (e.g. GPR, EM, multimethod, etc) projects.

They are responsible for ensuring their office and fieldwork work hits or exceeds targets and deadlines. Additionally, they will play a key role in staff development and training, as well as feeding into the development and support of analysis, technical and research activities within the company.

Capacity for fieldwork should average 40-50% of the time, with an emphasis on supervising complex and/or non-standard projects, and training and development for junior staff members. This role will also entail line management of junior staff.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years expereince in the Heritage, Geology or Geophysics sectors
  • Competent and experienced geophysical surveyor, with demonstrable experience of successfully supervising teams on site
  • Full UK manual driving license
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weathers & away from home
  • Self Motivated and Driven
  • Eligible to work in the UK without restriction
