Senior Software Systems Engineer Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 GBP per year

Requirements:
We are looking for candidates who possess:

1. A solid understanding and experience of Systems Engineering with integrated software systems. Familiarity with Systems and Software Engineering standards (e.g., ISO 15288 and ISO 12207) is essential.
2. Proficiency in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and software architectural modeling in relevant frameworks and languages (e.g., NAF/UAF/TOGAF/SysML/UML) using dedicated tools, such as CATIA Magic (Cameo), Sparx EA, or similar.
3. Experience in requirements definition and management using a relevant toolset like IBM DOORS Next, along with configuration management expertise using tools such as Teamcenter or SAP.
4. The ability to plan, perform, and document system testing traced to requirements using a dedicated toolset (e.g., IBM Engineering Test Manager).
5. Basic experience with mathematical simulation tools/languages (e.g., Mathworks MATLAB, Simulink, Pearl, Python) would be advantageous.
6. Higher education (or equivalent experience) in a relevant STEM discipline.

Your responsibilities are:
In this role, you will:

1. Apply your Systems Engineering experience with a strong understanding of software system embodiment for the development of maritime autonomous systems.
2. Discern and decompose requirements at system, sub-system, and software specification levels, managing these using appropriate requirements management tools.
3. Undertake system design decomposition and architectural modeling, managing architectural models from system architecture into software architecture.
4. Execute system test planning, design, and reporting.
5. Contribute to the definition of acceptance strategies, verifying compliance at various levels of system design, and support the production of customer acceptance evidence.
