Opportunity Details

People in the Communication Team, also known as Public Relations specialists, must support an organization’s external and internal communications strategy. They will draft and then disseminate publicity-related materials while addressing inquiries made by the media and public.

Editorial associates will support internal communications by creating unique and engaging content for various channels including mobile, daily news, company-wide e-newsletter, intranet, and others as needed.

What you will do:

You will work closely with the editorial team, attending weekly editorial meetings and writing weekly articles or news pieces. You will gain valuable experience in CMS; implementing style guidelines; SEO; social media; and how media partnerships function.

This is an opportunity to participate in the editorial life of the start-up in digital technology, and to receive editorial training of the highest level.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content management – Reading and responding to articles on Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Metaverse and 3D printing as they come in, with thoughts about structure, argument, and ideas.
2. Compile and send Daily News, produced each weekday (including holidays).
3. Manage day-to-day content updates. Ensure key tools and resources are functional and content is accurate, and moderate comments across channels.
4. Closely track key developments across the company and industry to share the scoop with company executives, and regularly pitch ideas for new stories.
5. Maintain an editorial calendar to ensure a steady stream of compelling, original content for our channels.
6. Editing on the level of line and structure.
7. Experience with WordPress and social media tools Buffer and Canva.
8. Creating engaging social media content.
9. Institutional relationships.

Education and Experience

1. High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
2. Experience in Journalism, communication or Marketing (preferred).
3. Knowledge in consumer electronics and the retail environment (preferred).

Skills and Requirements

1. Fluent in English.
2. Undergraduate degree or similar education in Journalism, communication or Marketing.
3. Excellent communication skills and record keeping.
4. Attention to details.
5. Interest in technology and the ability to quickly learn new products and features.
6. Self-starter with a strong commitment to driving results.
7. Enthusiastic, initiative-taking, and outgoing personality that is comfortable in a competitive environment.
8. Professional demeanor, excellent verbal, and written communication skills.
9. Access to a PC/Laptop and Internet.

Learning tools and instruments that the tech and social media world require from you: communication, execution, PR, and marketing.

More Information

This opportunity is suited for a fresh starter or mid-level seasoned professional with Journalism or Communication experience who focuses on technology. Our company evolves in a niche market; thus, knowledge management in the Virtual Reality and 3D sectors is preferred.

Duration

Ability to commit 2-3 hours per day for a duration of 3 months. Strict adherence to this working timeline shall be enforced.
