Installation Technology (IT) have been providing network solutions for over 30 years. We work with some of the biggest organisations in education, healthcare and transport. We are looking for DataComm Project Engineers to provide engineering management and QA function to support the design, installation, and handover of assets to the client (London Underground).
The immediate requirement is to solve problems on-site, manage site work efficiently while making sure quality standards are met, and change requests are submitted promptly with required drawings. This means the project engineer is required to cover various London Underground sites and report findings to the project team for provision of fixings, cable installations, and CMS systems. In addition, the project engineer is required to provide engineering management a QA function to ensure consistent quality of both installation and supporting documentation from subcontractors is achieved prior to submission to the client. The QA aspect may extend into further support of the subcontractors’ workflow to ensure the current challenging deadlines are met.
It is anticipated the role will broaden into a wider hands-on management of one of the station engineering delivery work streams or the power installs, overseeing all aspects of the subcontractors’ work.
The role is in engineering hours and applicants must be willing to work nights, weekends as well as attend meetings during the day (early mornings or late afternoons) daily to report their findings to the Project Managers and discuss next steps.
