An established industry player is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a robust background in mechanical and electrical skills. This role involves ensuring optimal equipment reliability through preventative maintenance, swiftly addressing production breakdowns, and fostering a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least three years of experience in a production setting. Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
3+ years of engineering experience in a production environment.

Complete preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment reliability.
Respond to production-line breakdowns and restore operations efficiently.
Support continuous improvement programmes and maintain equipment records.

Monday to Friday 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm (rotating shifts)

The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer needs to possess a strong hands-on background in mechanical and electrical skills directly related to operating in a manufacturing environment. Requires considerable working knowledge of pneumatics, rotary equipment and electrical equipment. Must be willing and able to undertake additional training and development as needed to work to and uphold standards.

Responsibilities

Complete preventative maintenance plan (PPM) to ensure optimal equipment reliability
Respond swiftly to production-line breakdowns and restore production operations efficiently
Work with all departments to ensure a safe working environment that will maximize production through minimizing machine downtime.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work completed, ensuring all equipment is safe and compliant with relevant legislation and standards.
Proactively support continuous improvement programmes
Ensure all maintenance work is precisely detailed on our maintenance system for full equipment history.
Complete work within agreed timescales.
Work safely in line with recognized codes & practices.
Participate in identifying & executing continuous improvement activities to improve performance.

Experience Required

Must hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Have a minimum of 3 years’ previous experience working as an engineer, ideally within a production environment.
Possess strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Have a “can-do” attitude
Good communication skills, able to work as part of a team.
