A fast-growing Series A startup in London is seeking an Events Marketing Manager to lead event execution from planning to follow-ups. The candidate will manage logistics for major conferences and ensure community engagement. Requires 3–6+ years in events marketing, strong organizational skills, and a results-driven mindset. Offers a competitive salary, 25 days holiday, and health benefits. Join a dynamic team shaping the future of software development and working in a collaborative environment.
Tessl is a fast-growing Series A startup based in London, founded by Guy Podjarny. We’ve raised over $100M from world-class investors including Index Ventures, Accel, GV, and Boldstart, and this year we were ranked #2 in Sifted EU’s B2B SaaS Rising 100 and #20 in Sifted's AI 100.
At Tessl, we believe AI is transforming software development. AI Native Developers will define features, architecture, and workflows in specs, not code, guiding the work of AI agents. We’re building the pioneering platform for this new paradigm and leading the developer movement and ecosystem around it.
Joining Tessl means becoming an early team member with the opportunity to shape the future of how software is created and maintained.
We’re looking for an Events Marketing Manager to own the execution of our event program end-to-end, from sponsor booths at leading developer conferences to C-level dinners, roundtables, and community meetups.
This role is highly operational. You’ll be the person who makes sure the booth shows up, the right people are in the room, the follow-ups go out, and the momentum from events turns into engagement with our product and the AI Native Dev community.
You’ll work closely with Sales, Community, and Product to ensure events are measurable drivers of adoption, pipeline, and long-term developer relationships.
Own the operational delivery of sponsor booths at conferences like AI Engineer and other leading developer events
Manage all on-the-ground logistics: booth setup, staffing, assets, lead capture, schedules, and vendor coordination
Support and execute smaller, high-touch events including:
C-level dinners
Executive roundtables
Partner events
Work with the Community Manager to support developer meetups and community events
Support delivery of pre-event campaigns to ensure the right people are in the room (developers, technical leaders, decision-makers)
Set up and send basic email campaigns for sales-led events (invites, reminders, follow-ups)
Coordinate post-event follow-ups to route leads to the right next step i.e. handoff to Sales, Product, DevRel or enter into an email nurture sequence.
Ensure clean, reliable lead capture at events
Run simple nurture workflows (email sequences, follow-ups, handoffs)
Track event performance and outcomes (attendance, engagement, follow-ups, conversions)
Share clear post-event summaries and insights
3–6+ years experience in events marketing, field marketing, or community-driven marketing
Proven ability to execute events end-to-end, not just plan them
Comfortable running sponsor booths and engaging directly with developers and technical leaders
Strong bias for action — you move fast, unblock yourself, and get things done
Basic understanding of nurture campaigns and lifecycle marketing
Hands‑on experience setting up and sending emails (HubSpot, Customer.io, Mailchimp, or similar)
Results‑driven mindset — you care about what happens after the event
Organized, detail‑oriented, and calm under pressure
Clear communicator who works well cross‑functionally
Willing to travel internationally
Experience marketing to developers, engineers, or technical audiences
Familiarity with developer tools, AI tooling, or coding agents
Experience supporting community‑led events or meetups
Comfort working in a fast‑moving startup environment
