Qualifications

• Previous bookkeeping experience is essential.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and transactional finance required.
• Good understanding of insolvency processes is desirable.
• Experience using IPS or similar finance systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily bank movements and monitor case activity.
• Complete bank reconciliations in line with office procedures.
• Process journals, income and expenditure vouchers.
• Enter and maintain data within IPS.
• Update IPS diary entries.
• Process bank transfers and payments.
• Prepare billing packs for Insolvency Practitioners.
• Correspond with HMRC regarding corporation tax and VAT.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Request the opening and closure of insolvency bank accounts.
• Complete monthly debtor schedule reconciliations.
• Liaise with colleagues across the Corporate Recovery team.
• Support the wider team with ad hoc finance and administration tasks.
