Your role

The Opportunity

Cepac is a leading independent manufacturer of corrugated packaging with four sites across the UK. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Group IT Team, based at the Rotherham Head Office. The main purpose of this role is to oversee the company’s hardware, software, and computer networks, along with the management of service delivery.

The Job

This role will report into the Group IT Manager. You will be responsible for a team of five and will work alongside the systems and data team. The successful candidate will work with a dedicated professional and enthusiastic IT team.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

• Managing and developing the Service Desk & Infrastructure teams.
• Develop, implement, and adhere to IT policies and practices in conjunction with the Group IT Manager.
• Oversee installations, upgrades, and configurations of hardware and software.
• Oversee data backup, business continuity, and system security operations.
• Organise and manage out of hours (OOH) cover.
• Control and preparation of the IT Budget in conjunction with the Group IT Manager.
• Work with the Systems and Data teams to enable and coordinate access where required and facilitate the upgrade and/or installation of Cepac approved software.
• Deputise for the Group IT Manager in periods of absence.

The Person

Along with a positive and flexible attitude, the successful candidate must have a Driving Licence and the following skills and qualifications:

• It would be advantageous for the successful candidate to hold ITIL 4 certification.
• You will be a key person in the transition of the IT team into a ‘best in class’ customer-focused team, championing innovative projects that enhance the customer experience whilst keeping up to date with new technologies.
• Demonstrable experience in Project Management or qualified Project Manager.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices.
• CCNA or equivalent demonstrable technical competency.
• University degree or equivalent demonstrable industry experience and skills with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong Communication (written and verbal) and People Skills.
• Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
