Job Title: Fleet Technician (Training provided)

Location: Coventry

Salary: £27,344.80 - £34,181.00

We are currently looking to recruit a Fleet Maintenance Assistant who is interested in progressing and training to collaborate with other technicians, drivers, and management to ensure the fleet operates smoothly. Position Summary: In this role, you will be assisting with the running of the vehicle maintenance department in the Coventry Distribution Centre. Fleet technicians often work directly with vehicles and equipment, which can be very satisfying for those who enjoy hands-on tasks and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out minor defect repairs
• Ensure that our equipment like UCO is maintained to a high standard.
• Observe and manage Health and Safety policies in the yard.
• Ensure our fleet is maintained and roadworthy.
• Schedule all equipment for service or repairs.
• Ensure that the daily availability of equipment meets operational needs.
• Control all maintenance costs.

Qualifications:

Technical Competencies:

• Maintenance HGV (Desirable)
• Experience of Microsoft packages (Desirable)
• Awareness of all current and pending industry legislation and developments (Desirable)
