An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join our musculoskeletal physiotherapy team. We are looking for a Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist to provide skilled physiotherapy assessment and management for patients with a wide range of spinal and peripheral conditions. You will be working in a busy, friendly outpatient department, seeing both GP, consultant referrals and staff self-referrals.
You will assist in the clinical delivery of musculoskeletal physiotherapy services in the Outpatient Physiotherapy Department at Kent and Canterbury Hospital. Your caseload will consist of a range of 1:1 patients and you will be responsible for independently running group sessions in the gym or aquatic therapy pool. The department has access to a large gym space with exceptional equipment, including a tread-wall, Olympic lifting setup, and an Alter-G treadmill to help you provide rehabilitation to an exceptional standard. The highly experienced team consists of two Consultant therapists, a team of Advanced Practice Therapists specializing in Spines, Rheumatology, Paediatrics, Hands, Lower Limb, and Upper Limb. Three Band 7 Physiotherapists, each with over 10 years of experience, are also part of the team, along with experienced Band 6 rotational and static Band 5 physiotherapists, and Therapy Support Workers.
The post holder will be expected to provide regular postgraduate training within their clinical specialty and work alongside Band 7s to complete some departmental managerial duties.
