As a key member of our team, you will have an excellent standard of written English, strong communication skills, excellent IT skills, be organised and able to work outside normal office hours (typically 2 or 3 times a month). You will need to be a confident communicator who can develop a good working relationship with Councillors, senior officers and members of the public. You also need to be well organised with the ability to continually prioritise an ever-changing workload.
This is a specialist role, but previous Democratic Services experience is not essential as full training, and support can be provided to candidates that have the right skills, abilities, attitude and knowledge.
Whilst experience in a democratic and/or electoral services environment would be useful, applications from candidates with transferable skills and some experience of working in deadline driven and pressurised roles are just as welcome.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Jason Spencer, Electoral and Democratic Services Manager e-mail jason.spencer@derbyshiredales.gov.uk or 01629 761299.
If you encounter any problems applying online, please contact humanresources@derbyshiredales.gov.uk.
We do not accept CVs.
Candidates must possess the necessary ‘right to work in the UK’ authorisation. We are unable to provide sponsorship or assume sponsorship of an employment visa as we do not possess a visa sponsorship licence.
