A financial services provider is looking for an Analyst to join their Mortgage Product Insight Team in Swindon. You will analyze data, use SAS and PowerBI to generate insights, and support the mortgages agenda across various teams. A fantastic opportunity has become available as an Analyst in our thriving Mortgage Product Insight Team. Data is firmly at the heart of what we do and how we do it. We use data to help us understand potential markets for new products, to understand how members interact with their existing products and to ensure that members receive good outcomes.
We work closely with the different mortgage teams to support the mortgage agenda across Owner Occupied, The Mortgage Works and Intermediary Relations. Our main tool is SAS which you will use to interrogate large datasets (many 1 million plus rows) and turn this into compelling stories to be presented to key stakeholders. Our work offers a lot of variety.
We support new product propositions, supporting commercial outcomes
We monitor customer outcomes, ensuring members are treated fairly
We track customer journeys and conversion rates
We monitor retention rates and identify emerging trends
We also work closely with other areas to enhance the data we work with ensuring accuracy and developing new capabilities

The working hours (per week) for this role can be between 28 and 35 hours.

You will be responsible for using tools like SAS and PowerBI to gather and analyse complex information whilst using your judgement to support well considered recommendations and present these to stakeholders.
You will also use your expertise to seek out and discover patterns and relationships in data which will directly support the broader Mortgages Team.
For this role, you will have/be:
Strong excel skills, with experience creating formula to automate and simplify spreadsheets
Experience of working with datasets, as well as extracting data from various data sources for analytical and insight purposes
Experience sense checking work and spotting erroneous data
Confident building relationships, working with a wide group of stakeholders and understanding different requirements
The ability to work on multiple priorities at the same time sometimes delivering to tight deadlines
Able to communicate with confidence, translating complex data into a compelling story for a non-technical audience
