The Purpose: At PPRO, Software Engineers play a key role in shaping the direction and success of the company. You’ll be a vital contributor—not just to your team’s product—but also to its culture, values, and overall spirit. As part of a cross-functional team, you\u2019ll tackle complex technical challenges, contribute to architectural and technical decision-making, support and mentor fellow engineers, and collaborate closely through hands-on coding. We are currently growing our Local Payments team and looking for passionate engineers to join us on this journey.

What you’ll do

• Own products and services end-to-end, from requirements to deployment in our production systems
• Collaborate and grow in a dynamic and autonomous environment while working in small, agile, and cross-functional teams
• Be an integral part of the team, contributing to its culture and ways of working
• Common practices include agile methodologies, pair and mob programming
• Use the latest technologies to solve real problems for our customers at a massive scale
• Be part of a team that takes full operational responsibility for the services it owns and potentially take part in an on-call rotation
• Share your knowledge and build creative solutions while helping the team evolve best practices

What we look for in you

• Results-orientation, collaborative, pragmatic, and with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Experience designing and building scalable products and services, taking strategic decisions and having a wide impact.
• Multiple experiences working with one or more general-purpose programming languages including Java and/or Kotlin.
• Strong expertise with the cloud (preferably AWS, but Azure or GCP will also do).
• Great problem solving abilities.
• Working proficiency in English.
