Description and Requirements

Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group’s (ISG) Product Security Office (PSO) is seeking a passionate software developer with experience in supporting internal teams through custom-built tools and automation. The successful candidate will engage in high-impact activities with business unit-wide visibility, such as developing, enhancing, and/or implementing full-stack software applications and utilities; automating processes; assisting with secure software development lifecycle projects; and working with users to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

This is a backfill for an existing position supporting Lenovo ISG’s product security needs, joining a team responsible for securing a product portfolio. The role is suited for candidates who enjoy solving unique problems, planning for future requirements, working with varied technologies, and owning technical solutions. Development activities are the primary focus.

Primary responsibilities:

• Lead tool customization and application development from identifying requirements to user support
• Assess existing products, assume ownership for maintenance and future development
• Collaborate with security engineers, developers, and leadership to align with business needs
• Adhere to security best practices, contribute to process improvement, and maintain a collaborative environment
• Interface with cross-functional teams, provide user support, and gather feedback

Position Requirements

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of full stack software development experience
• Web-based development experience using frameworks like Flask, Angular JS, Node JS

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in other Object-Oriented Programming Languages
• Knowledge of cryptography, Linux/Windows administration, TCP/IP networking
• SQL, REST APIs, secure software development, and hardware troubleshooting
• Ability to interpret technical requests, cultivate relationships, and work in a team
• Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• US citizenship required
