Highclere Capital is a growing Ontario-based mortgage finance company. As part of our continued growth, we are hiring a STEM Data Analyst on a 10-month contract to support data analysis, reporting, and automation initiatives across the business.
This role is well suited to a new graduate or recent co-op student in a STEM discipline who is comfortable working independently, enjoys problem-solving, and wants hands-on experience applying Python, SQL, and automation in a real business environment.
- Writing SQL queries to extract and analyze data from relational databases
- Using Python to clean data, build reports, and automate recurring tasks
- Developing and maintaining Excel reports, dashboards, and visualizations
- Supporting business and technical teams with ad hoc data analysis and reporting
- Managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Gaining exposure to the mortgage and financial services industry
- New graduate or co-op student in a STEM field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, Information Systems)
- Strong working knowledge of Python and SQL
- Experience building automation scripts or workflows
- Experience connecting to and working with databases
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Hands-on, practical experience applying data and automation skills
- Exposure to real business problems in a regulated financial environment
