Location: Hybrid – Thornhill, ON
Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract (10 months)

Build Real-World Data Skills in a Growing Financial Services Business

Highclere Capital is a growing Ontario-based mortgage finance company. As part of our continued growth, we are hiring a STEM Data Analyst on a 10-month contract to support data analysis, reporting, and automation initiatives across the business.

This role is well suited to a new graduate or recent co-op student in a STEM discipline who is comfortable working independently, enjoys problem-solving, and wants hands-on experience applying Python, SQL, and automation in a real business environment.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Writing SQL queries to extract and analyze data from relational databases
  • Using Python to clean data, build reports, and automate recurring tasks
  • Developing and maintaining Excel reports, dashboards, and visualizations
  • Supporting business and technical teams with ad hoc data analysis and reporting
  • Managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Gaining exposure to the mortgage and financial services industry
What We’re Looking For
  • New graduate or co-op student in a STEM field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, Information Systems)
  • Strong working knowledge of Python and SQL
  • Experience building automation scripts or workflows
  • Experience connecting to and working with databases
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
