Overview

Debug Engineer (Gameplay) | North America | Canada | Europe | Fully Remote

Responsibilities
  • Create internal tools that assist in problem solving, improve developer ease to maintain, and identify issues
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot game features and stability
  • Perform in-depth debugging and analysis of system failures
  • Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve technical problems
  • Develop, modify, and debug gameplay software in script and C/C++
  • Assist in the development and implementation of system improvement strategies
  • Conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations for corrective actions
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify issues in a timely manner
What you will bring
  • An appetite to cover a wide spectrum of game systems and become a core knowledgebase to support the development team.
  • Ability to decipher 3D math, concepts and apply it to primitive rendering concepts for visualizations
  • Proven experience in debugging and troubleshooting software systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and methodologies
  • Experience with Unreal Engine
