We are looking for a Control Systems Engineer to support mid‑stage development activities within a model‑based V‑Cycle environment. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and validating control models for embedded applications using MATLAB/Simulink.

Location: Peterborough

Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing control algorithms and models for embedded systems
  • Conducting MiL, SiL, and HiL testing to evaluate system behaviour and ensure functional robustness
  • Generating embedded code using Simulink‑based toolchains and ensuring quality and traceability
  • Integrating control models into larger system architectures and supporting cross‑functional delivery
  • Supporting validation, calibration, and system‑level integration
  • Performing requirements analysis and ensuring control models align with system‑level specifications
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, test reports, and model release notes
  • Ensuring adherence to development processes, quality standards, and safety considerations
Qualifications
  • Degree in Control Engineering, Robotics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent industry experience
  • Hands‑on experience with MATLAB/Simulink for control model development
  • Demonstrated history of implementing control logic for embedded systems
  • Practical experience with MiL/SiL/HiL testing methodologies
  • Familiarity with model integration, embedded code generation, and system validation workflows
