Job description

We are searching for a dedicated and skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our exceptional medical team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in performing surgeries related to heart and thoracic organs, demonstrating a strong commitment to patient care and surgical excellence. Your expertise will play a crucial role in improving patient outcomes and enhancing the capabilities of our surgical program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate patients with various cardiothoracic conditions to determine appropriate surgical interventions.
  • Design and implement individualized surgical plans based on patient evaluations and latest medical practices.
  • Perform a range of surgical procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repairs, and complex lung surgeries.
  • Adopt minimally invasive surgical techniques when applicable to promote faster recovery and reduce risks.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress before, during, and after procedures, addressing any complications that arise.
  • Engage in clinical research and contribute to advancements in cardiothoracic surgery through participation in studies and trials.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a General Surgery residency and a Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship.
  • Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
  • Minimum of 5 years of cardiothoracic surgical experience.
  • Proven expertise in complex surgical procedures related to the heart and thorax.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical techniques and postoperative care protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
  • Ability to make quick, informed decisions in high-stress surgical environments.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and staying updated with advancements in the field.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the relevant state.
