Job description

South African National Blood Service (SANBS) is seeking a Relief HPCSA Phlebotomist in Secunda, Mpumalanga. This is a permanent, full-time position with a salary of R 367,633.00. The role involves collecting safe, quality blood according to specific targets, assisting in clinic preparation and closure, conducting donor registration and physical assessments, and performing phlebotomy procedures professionally and courteously.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring efficient clinic operations to meet blood collection targets.
  • Professional and friendly donor registration and physical assessments.
  • Performing phlebotomy following SOPs.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Qualified Phlebotomist registered with HPCSA.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid code 8 or 10 driver’s license.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and variable hours.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift loads up to 14kg, and climb stairs.
