Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations / consultations, vision tests and analyse results
• Diagnose refractive errors and sign problems
• Prescribing glasses and contact lenses
• Repairs and adjustments
• Evaluate patients for the presence of diseases and conditions such as diabetes or hypertension
• Diagnose sight problems
• Prescribe spectacles, contact lenses, and other visual aids
• Promote eye and general health counselling
• Practice administration

Qualifications

• Optometry Qualification
• HPCSA Registration
• Self-motivated and have great organizational skills
• Strong command of the English language and a second language
