About the job: Merchandising Administrator - Offsite

Job title: Merchandising Administrator - Offsite

Purpose of the role:

R24 000 + R1500 medical allowance and up to 200 pounds KPI incentives.

The Merchandising team at our international client based in London, with offices in Century City, Cape Town, is responsible for managing the online shop window. They select deals to display on-site based on qualitative and quantitative data, aiming to maximize medium to long-term revenue. The team provides insights to sales and management to adapt to changing consumer preferences and seasonal trends. The Merchandising Administrator ensures email performance is optimized for profit and supports administrative tasks to launch deals from signing to live status.

Main responsibilities and duties:

  • Assess deals launched on the website against set KPIs.
  • Analyze location and tier performance of emails to inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop exposure strategies for different tiers and locations to maximize visitation and revenue.
  • Plan daily email campaigns, considering key categories, seasonal focuses, and variety to prevent deal fatigue.
  • Coordinate with the generics team to schedule paid slots for deals, aligning with merchant requirements and consumer behavior.
  • Balance offsite deal exposure to maximize revenue while maintaining engaging content.
  • Ensure no system clashes between email orders for different regions.
  • Select deals for web and app promotions.
  • Collaborate with the product team to automate processes and improve email performance.
  • Analyze subscriber data and recommend email strategies.
  • Utilize audience builder tools to target appropriate customers.
  • Work closely with CRM, employing A/B testing to enhance email effectiveness.

Technical Skills required:

  • Degree or relevant experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel).
  • Ability to analyze data sets and draw logical conclusions.
  • Experience with SQL and Power BI is beneficial but not essential.
