Credit Controller

Introduction

A vacancy exists for a Credit Controller, based at Life Healthcare Head Office in Dunkeld, reporting to Razeenah Khan– Key accounts manager. The successful candidate should have strong business acumen and the ability to coordinate, implement, and sustain the credit control process through empowering and influencing.

Critical Outputs
  • Ensuring accurate and efficient administration of the credit control function.
  • Follow up on all accounts in accordance with working protocols.
  • Manage hospital DSO’s in line with budget per unit.
  • This role includes responsibilities for more than one business unit.
  • Manage age analysis in accordance with Life Healthcare protocols, targets, and objectives.
  • Develop sound relationships with internal and external customers, including patients, funders, doctors, and private patients.
  • Ensure compliance with working procedures and quality standards.
  • Accurately process medical aid remittances and resolve short payments.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 qualification.
  • Credit control experience, preferably in a medical aid or hospital setting.
  • Experience in medical aid collections or administration is advantageous.
  • Experience in the Healthcare environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Understanding of the Private Healthcare industry, its challenges, and key players.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
