Position Summary

The Tech – Waste Removal position is responsible for the overall removal of all trash/waste in the hospital, maintaining a professional demeanor in accordance with the service excellence standards while interacting with patients, patients’ families (including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics), and coworkers. The position requires following any other job‑related instructions and performing any other duties requested by supervisors.

Responsibilities
  • Remove all trash and waste from the hospital premises in a timely and safe manner.
  • Maintain professionalism and service excellence standards while interacting with patients, families and coworkers.
  • Follow written guidelines and protocols for cleaning procedures.
  • Assist with other job‑related duties as requested by supervisors.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Physical ability to stand/walk continuously, bend, stoop, lift up to 100 pounds for heavy tasks, and perform routine cleaning tasks.
  • Ability to operate department equipment and follow written and oral instructions.
