Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. The position is a full‑time, third‑shift role (Wednesday 12:00 am–6:00 am, Thursday‑Saturday 6:00 pm–6:00 am). The hourly pay is $23.00 per hour, with an additional $1.50 per hour when working third shift. Schedule is paid weekly.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize daily work duties to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members toward improved key performance indicators using appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in orienting employees and provide necessary equipment and training.
• Promote health and safety methods within the warehouse.
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operational effectiveness and service levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred.
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred.
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner is required.
• Valid forklift operator's license certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective leadership skills.
• Flexibility to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Proactively approaches responsibilities.
• Maintains composure under pressure.
• Works using health and safety methods.
• Bilingual (for Québec locations only).
