A Day in the Life

A Territory Manager is expected to achieve annual sales objectives through selling and supporting the Company’s neurovascular products while representing Medtronic to the customer in accordance with Company policies and AdvaMed guidelines. Territory Managers develop clinical and administrative relationships in assigned accounts and formulate a grow and defend territory strategy, accounting for competitive pressures and local market conditions. Territory Managers are expected to demonstrate High Performance Practices and competencies as they meet and exceed objectives for this role.

This is a field-based role. We are seeking a committed professional to join our team, required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver\'s license is essential for this role, which also involves travel outside the territory, presenting opportunities for broader engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Promotes and sells Medtronic\'s Neurovascular products and services within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Achieve all territory sales objectives annually in alignment with the business strategy and annual compensation plan.
  • Develops, builds, and strengthens long-term relationships with stakeholders including key opinion leaders and related major medical associations and academic centers of excellence.
  • Pursues leads, assesses needs and provides product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic\'s Neurovascular products and/or services.
  • Collaborates across key internal stakeholder groups (finance, sales operations, marketing, OEM, etc.) as well as peers to identify and address trends and to support business goals and strategy.
  • Conducts and/or evaluates market research including customers and competitors’ activities.
  • Develops and/or implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed.
  • Assesses customer needs and feedback regarding new products and/or modifications to existing products and communicates to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing.
  • Completes business analytics and regional reporting assignments in a timely, accurate fashion. Conducts quarterly business reviews to exhibit achievement of sales goals in all assigned accounts.
  • Maintains awareness of competitive products and marketing practices, and keeps sales management informed concerning them.
  • Participates fully in training on new products and procedures through in-person and online training programs. Attends regional and national meetings, as required.
  • Adjusts customer complaints in accordance with Company policy, and advises sales management promptly of any situation beyond the Territory Manager’s scope of authority.
  • Assists with Sales Training courses, both in the field and in the corporate office.
  • Understands and demonstrates the High Performance Practices and Expectations in daily work activities.

Qualifications

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume.

  • Bachelors Degree and 3+ years of medical sales experience.

Nice to Have:

  • 5 years in medical or hospital service-line function, medical sales
  • Evidence of top sales achievement with experience in multilevel account management is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in properly functioning within an office or hospital based operating room or cath lab setting
  • Clinical experience in the interventional suite, hospital environment, or emergency medical response
  • Experience in medical device sales, focused heavily on interventional stroke procedures

Must have a valid driver\'s license and active vehicle insurance policy. In addition, your driving record will be reviewed and will be considered as part of your application. Must be able to drive approximately 50% of the time within assigned territory and may require overnight travel.

Salary ranges for U.S locations (excl. PR): $123,000.00 base, with a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) eligible for additional incentive compensation based on goals.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. Comp depends on experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
