Job Title and Location

Environmental Site Superintendent/On-site Supervisor (A031) (CONUS/OCONUS) – Jacksonville, FL and the Caribbean. Senior Consultant – Full-Time.

Responsibilities
  • Performing a wide range of Environmental Remediation Services activities, environmental investigations related to remediation, water/wastewater services, industrial hygiene/safety support, and other environmental conservation and pollution prevention activities.
  • Performing all geotechnical investigations including:
    • Sampling and testing of soil (shallow to deep subsurface) for chemical and geotechnical parameters.
    • Rock/solid matter sampling and testing, sediment sampling and testing, groundwater sampling/testing (may involve installation and development of monitoring wells), and determination of aquifer parameters and groundwater elevations.
    • Sampling and testing of surface water; material testing for geotechnical properties and soil classification per the Unified Soil Classification System; logs and data submitted in Bentley geotechnical and GINT formats.
  • Provide comprehensive base sustainment, restoration, and modernization support to ensure environmental compliance, evaluation, management, and remediation for vertical and horizontal construction inspections, quality assurance, and other SRM initiatives per Task Orders.
  • Provide base support including environmental programs to enhance operations and readiness.
  • Office automation, customer interface, and technical support required for environmental evaluation, compliance, remediation, and management.
  • Repository maintenance, documentation, and justification input for procurement actions; assist in monitoring contract durations and database maintenance; provide input to enterprise databases tracking programs.
  • Administrative support involving technical assistance in organizing and maintaining official filing systems and repositories; data gathering and data entry into databases; technical support involving project and document review; preparing scope of work, estimates, and statistical reports.
Skills / Qualifications
  • Knowledge of OSHA Regulations; comfortable working with heavy equipment; deep knowledge of transport and disposal procedures for safe handling of hazardous materials; familiarity with EPA standards.
  • Extensive experience in data collection and analysis; ability to prepare reports and correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, and status; customer-facing Statement of Work.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required; candidate must be a United States Citizen. Excellent oral and written communication skills; e-Verify participant.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and Adobe; ability to learn additional tools as necessary.
  • Must be determined eligible for a Facility Access Authorization (Employment Authorization) by the USG’s designated Security Office; may be required to complete a Financial Disclosure Statement; ability to submit to varying levels of background investigations, up to Top Secret or DOE Q clearance.
  • Other requirements and conditions of employment apply; may be required to travel as needed.
Travel

The selected candidate will be required to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS), Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean to attend meetings, conferences, and training. Travel will be expensed.

Security and Risk

Risk Level Designation: Moderate Risk - background investigations required. Personnel in MODERATE or LOW risk levels must be United States Citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents. Security: A secret facility clearance may be required; employees may need to obtain security clearances from the Defense Security Service/DSO.
