Job Description

Job Title: Sr Specialist Software Engineering

Job Location: 3400 W Plano Pkwy., Plano, Texas 75075

Duties
  • Responsible for the overall delivery process of a software application or service including design, development, testing, deployment, production application support (e.g., troubleshooting) and maintenance with a focus on automation.
  • Collaborate to gather and review software requirements/user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions.
  • Execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages.
  • Create and execute automated test plans/strategies utilizing business requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers/architects, clients, etc. to validate test environments, test data, and test results.
  • Design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results, and produce associated reporting.
  • Work on dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and/or user acceptance testing.
  • Support applications and solve configuration and environment issues. Support the software deployment process.
  • Build and maintain REST APIs using Spring Boot by focusing on performance, secure communication, and clean service interactions.
  • Develop and support integration workflows using Apache Camel to route messages and connect components across the system.
  • Deploy applications in Kubernetes clusters by managing configuration and resources to ensure reliable and maintainable deployments.
  • Work with various databases based on application needs by ensuring efficient data structuring, storage, and access.
  • Automate business workflows using Camunda to streamline processing and support backend communication across systems.
  • Configure and manage Kafka to facilitate communication between distributed services and support decoupled service interactions.
  • Utilize the ELK stack to monitor application logs, identify issues across services, and facilitate faster debugging and resolution.
  • Perform unit, integration, and user acceptance testing to validate functionality and ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve configuration or environment-related issues across development, staging, and production systems.
  • Utilize Java, Groovy, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, CI/CD concepts and Cloud platforms, TDD/BDD testing framework, Microservice architecture, Workflow orchestration, Cloud based pipeline, Kafka, Cloud Hosted NoSQL, Relational Databases, Monitoring and log management tools, Cloud based secret managers, Configuration Services, Step Functions, and Load Balancers.
Requirements

Requires a Bachelor degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Information Technology and 4 years of experience in the job offered or 4 years of experience in a related occupation utilizing Java, Groovy, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, CI/CD concepts and Cloud platforms, TDD/BDD testing framework, Microservice architecture, Workflow orchestration, Cloud based pipeline, Kafka, Cloud Hosted NoSQL, Relational Databases, Monitoring and log management tools, Cloud based secret managers, Configuration Services, Step Functions, and Load Balancers.

Compensation and Benefits

Our Sr Specialist Software Engineering earn between $134,971 - $158,400 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
