Job Overview

TE Energy is seeking an Account Manager to partner with our Energy Crompton Business. This position will be based in at home office and will report to the Regional Sales Manager. The Crompton Instruments business is an extensive range of digital metering system, with a product portfolio ranging from current transformers, protector trip relays, analogue instruments, and transducers, panel and switchboard meters. They serve the entire electrical energy circle, from power generation to final consumers.

The Account Manager is an outside sales person who is responsible for revenue growth in a defined territory, region, and industry/technology. The Account Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of demand creation through having an entrepreneur mindset, building strong customer relationships through ECE, and managing internal and external stakeholders. This may include developing and/or supporting the pipeline through customer/distributor visits, promotion of product through training and functioning as a project manager. In addition, this individual is responsible for providing forecast accuracy through the S&OP process and will also participate in contract negotiations.

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrated performance in developing and executing strategic objectives

  • Support and manage key customers on a day to day basis

  • Maintain existing instrumentation business and secure further profitable growth for the Americas Region

  • Develop a strategy for the growth of New Products with the Global Product Management team

  • Prepare and deliver product / systems training and information to customers.

  • Penetrate the Energy Management and System Integrator markets to expand the CI systems portfolio

  • Develop the distribution channel new specialist instrumentation stockists where necessary for Crompton products

  • Maintain Customer Database / Participate in Marcom Activities and New Product Information.

  • Prepare and deliver regular business review briefs pertinent to the allocated geographical sales area

  • Schedule meetings with internal departments to resolve any ‘road block’ issues

  • Maintain and update data within the TE Avante/CDA database and Salesforce.com systems

  • Regularly review all relevant current business practices and processes for suggestions of improvement/implementing best practices

  • Assist in collating information for National Sales Manager to present to Senior Management

  • Achieve agreed individual specific stated goals and objectives within agreed time-scales

  • Be aware of possible impact on the company with regard to legal responsibilities/compliance and ensure that associated risks are controlled and understood

What your background should look like

  • Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 5 years of sales related role; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level

  • Technical qualification in electrical discipline or Electrical knowledge.

  • Knowledge of Energy metering and/or communications protocols would be an advantage.

  • Must be able to travel 50%-75%

  • Bilingual is a plu

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $110,500 - $165,800(subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
