Base pay range

$62,000.00/yr - $87,000.00/yr

What You’ll Do
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support world-class software across a range of tech stacks in a SaaS environment
  • Use design patterns, best practices, and the right mix of object oriented and functional programming techniques to solve complex business problems
  • Bring working knowledge in agile software development to a cross functional delivery team
  • Use source code management and devops tools and practices in your day to day engineering work
  • Participate in peer reviews, pair programming, workshops, and learn best-in-class development practices
  • Join our Data practice - a team of engineers empowering data-driven decision-making and innovation at Kipsu through data engineering
  • Help us maintain 24/7 SLAs by occasionally (2-3 weeks/yr) being on call for after hours support
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and production issues while minimizing downtime to customers
  • Help advance our standard of excellence in engineering practices
  • Liaison with stakeholders inside and outside of Kipsu in day to day work
  • Ask thoughtful and relevant questions to analysts and other business stakeholders in order to better solve the problem at hand
  • Attend external customer meetings to design and troubleshoot technical solutions
  • Make improvements to modules/libraries/services and go out of your way to help others learn from it
  • Proactively document and share knowledge to enable others to learn, improve, and achieve
What We’re Looking For
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Software Engineer
  • Passion for designing, building, delivering, and supporting world-class software
  • Experience and continued desire to delve deep into data through database engines, data engineering, data warehousing, data analytics
  • Experience with DBMSs such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Amazon RedShift
  • Ability to participate within scaled day to day Agile environment
  • A desire not just to work within the existing status quo, but rather a true drive to be a "builder" and shape a modern stack that is critical to our business
  • A deliberate delivery mindset and attention to detail
  • An ability to partner with client-facing teammates to help create insights out of information
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • A willingness to help mentality where “not my job” is not part of the vocabulary
  • Ability to appropriately manage individual and team workload, escalations, and roadblocks
  • Persistence in reaching your goals, even when you’ve run into some obstacles along the way

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $75,000-$95,000/yr.
