Overview

A large imaging company headquartered in Irvine, CA is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team. This individual will be responsible for original application development around data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will engage in software development activities utilizing different technologies with a focus on backend and data engineering for one of our enterprise data-driven solutions, integrating with backend services and databases while working with large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop software applications and data-driven solutions, focusing on backend and data engineering.
• Work with various technologies and integrate with backend services and databases while handling large datasets.
• Contribute to end-to-end software development across the stack as needed.
• Collaborate in a fast-moving, multi-cultural environment.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Bachelor's (or above) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
• Fluent in Python, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience.
• Proficient with SQL, specifically stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience performing ETL and/or ELT.
• Some experience with Spark and/or Hadoop.
• Strong willingness to learn new technologies.
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-moving, multi-cultural environment.
• Experience with Scala.
• Experience with MySQL.
• AWS environment experience.
• Experience using Amazon EMR and RDS.
• Knowledge of data analytics and/or machine learning.
