Overview

Ardurra is looking to hire a Senior Engineer/Consultant/Client Services Manager for our growing energy practice in Richmond, VA.

Ardurra has quickly become a regional leader in the energy consulting and engineering markets, and we are looking to grow our team in Virginia. Renewable sources of energy like solar, and non-renewable sources including natural gas, have seen incredible growth in recent years. With ever-changing state and federal regulations and permitting requirements, our energy specialists help clients navigate the processes that can significantly impact our client\'s project deadlines and budgets.

This role is for a senior civil/environmental engineer/consultant with deep expertise in energy and utility infrastructure projects. It is a leadership position that involves shaping the team, guiding strategic projects, and making a lasting impact in a high-growth sector.

Primary Function

As a senior leader, you will play a critical role in leading civil design and/or environmental regulatory efforts on large-scale energy projects, such as renewable generation facilities, substations, transmission lines, and critical water infrastructure, while helping to grow our energy engineering practice. Ideal candidates are technically strong and have a vision for team building and a strong network within the energy sector.

Primary Duties
  • Contribute to client engagement, proposal development, and strategic growth planning for the department
  • Lead the preparation of reports, opinions, and recommendations for the benefit of the client
  • Provide responses to requests for qualifications and assist with teaming opportunities
  • Guide, direct, and coordinate with the multiple departments and sub-consultants required for multi-discipline projects
  • Oversee permitting timelines and integrate requirements into project schedules and budgets
  • Assist or lead the project concept designs and participate in the final project design
Education And Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or other relevant discipline
  • PE license is preferred, but not required
  • Approximately 12+ years of civil or environmental engineering experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
  • Strong organizational skills, and ability to function efficiently within a project team environment
  • Comfort with AutoCAD, and other design software preferably with Civil3D
