The role focuses on ensuring accurate preparation and timely filing of returns, processing tax bills and payments, and assisting the team with other projects as needed.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Prepare complex personal property tax returns and supporting workpapers using Microsoft Excel, PowerPlan, PTMS, or OneSource* Review personal property fixed asset listings for misclassified assets* Review state and local laws, rules, and regulations* Present completed returns to Supervisor/Manager for review* Maintain accurate property tax calendar* Ensure all returns and tax payments for assigned clients are mailed in a timely manner* Update internal compliance software throughout reporting, assessment, and tax payment cycles* Track jurisdictional assessment notices and tax bills* Process tax bills and prepare check requests/funding requests for tax payments* Prepare and/or review client billings* Serve as a resource for team members regarding client-specific processing issues* Assist with new client implementations, ensuring property tax software programs and internal systems are set up properly* Assist in filing appeals, preparing amended returns, and submitting refund requests* Assist management and other business development professionals in scoping and developing customized solutions for new and prospective clients**Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Assist management with special projects* Assist with training of other department members* Assist Supervisors and Managers with reviewing returns, funding requests, etc.* Perform other duties as assigned* Serve as a resource for junior team members**Education and Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field* 3-5 years’ experience in property tax* Organization and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment* Experience with property tax software (PTMS, OneSource, PowerPlan)* Advanced knowledge of Excel* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Valid driver’s license#LI-REMOTE#LI-JS1The Company is an equal employment opportunity employer and is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to its applicants and employees.
