Charles Taylor is a highly successful global provider of professional services to the insurance industry. We are seeking an experienced Safety Specialist to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. This is a remote role serving the southwestern Ohio‑northern Kentucky‑southeastern Indiana areas.

Job Summary

The Safety Specialist plays a key role in delivering consulting services to our clients by performing site inspections, conducting safety audits, facilitating training sessions, and supporting clients with regulatory compliance. This individual is client‑facing, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable in occupational safety regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular on-site safety inspections and audits for client worksites
  • Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • Develop and deliver safety training sessions and toolbox talks
  • Assist clients in achieving and maintaining compliance with OSHA standards
  • Support the implementation of safety programs, policies, and procedures
  • Prepare written reports summarizing findings and recommendations
  • Collaborate with client management and field employees to promote a safety-first culture
  • Respond to incident investigations and help implement corrective action plans
  • Stay current on regulatory changes and industry best practices
  • 20% travel requirement outside the State of Ohio
Required Skills
  • 3+ years of experience in occupational safety, preferably in a consulting or multi-client environment
  • OSHA 30 certification (Construction)
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, safety management systems, and hazard recognition
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and safety reporting software
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed (local or regional)
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Skills
  • 5+ years of safety-related industry experience, preferably in construction and/or manufacturing
  • Degree in Health and Safety
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
