Amergis Staffing is currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for Neuro ICU assignments in Dayton, OH!

Position Details:

Contract Length: 16 -20 weeks (with likely extension)

Number of Openings: 2

Start Date: 9/22

Hours/Shifts/Schedules: 48 (4x12's) / Nights

*Will work every OTHER weekend/holiday

Setting:

  • Hospital

  • Ratio 1:3

  • EMR: EPIC

    Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of RN Neuro ICU experience

  • OH RN license or compact

  • BLS, ACLS

Medical, surgical unit with high acuity. Fast paced ICU, treating neurological diseases and disorders, seizures, strokes - comprehensive Stroke center. Also treat overflow ICU patients from medical surgical ICU and heart and vascular ICU.

Bedside procedures include - EVD placement, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, trach and G-tube placement, central line & arterial line placement. Frequently recovery immediately following post-op surgical procedures.

ICP monitoring, EVD use, Limitor spinal drains, Subdural drains, arterial line, EEG monitor, BIS, Train of Four

The RN - Neuro ICU assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the neuro critical care setting. The Neuro ICU RN consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and recognizing change in patient’s conditions. The Neuro ICU RN must be alert and prepared at all times to respond to emergent situations and they must also be able to remain calm and professional in times of crisis.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices

  • One year of critical care experience is preferred

  • Current BLS card; current ACLS/PALS card (per facility requirement)

  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
