Overview

The ARC Greater Hudson Valley New York is seeking a Registered Nurse Nursing Educator in Sullivan County and Orange County. The Registered Nurse Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for frontline staff providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role focuses on equipping staff with the knowledge and skills necessary for understanding and providing hands‑on care for medical conditions. The Registered Nurse Educator collaborates with the Training Department and other service departments to design and implement trainings that meet agency needs and ensure high-quality, safe, and compliant service delivery. Trainings are to be provided in Dutchess, Orange and Sullivan Counties.

Requirements

• Active Registered New York State Nurse (RN) License.
• All positions require a valid, clean NYS driver’s license with a minimum of one year (1) driving experience with a Class D license.
• Experience with OPWDD regulatory requirements.
• Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• At least one year of experience in training, teaching, or staff development preferred.
• Valid NYS driver’s license and proof of personal auto insurance.
• Completion of all required agency training, including orientation, First Aid/CPR, and any relevant certifications.
• Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and medical care for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Must pass background checks and meet any required certifications or training.

Compensation

Salary: $42.05/hr. Part-time position
